"Once Dead, Now Alive and Moving Forward" is the debut album from FWD// (ForwardSlash), comprised of artists Ryan Miller and Jason Cook. The album is a genre-fluid mashup of Jungle, Drum and Bass, IDM, and other leftfield forms, combined to create a fervent emotional translation of forces that transform human souls.

About the artists:

FWD// is Ryan Miller (Tunnel, Darkcloud, Detachment Dub) and Jason Cook (Boys Hotel, Amnesiac Host). The two met during Movement Festival weekend in Detroit in 2022, and decided to see where a virtual collaboration would take them. Three months later, they had an album, “Once Alive, Now Dead, and Moving Forward.”

Tunnel has released scores of kinetic, complex, and dance-floor driven techno tracks since 2013, releasing on label Webuildmachines, as well as Industrial and EBM focused labels like Gegen, Omen, and Gwimyeon. For the past several years, the Tunnel LIVE sound has evolved into a cutting edge blend of breaks, hard techno, cinematic sound design, rhythmic noise, and raw emotion.

Boys Hotel began in 2020 with the release of his seminal debut, “Future Probably Faded.” After a brief lull, Boys Hotel returned in 2021 with a slew of breakcore and atmospheric drum & bass releases, including the Planet Rave topping track, "Cute Junglists Unite." Boys Hotel performs live as both a DJ and a live hardware producer.

Boys Hotel tracks often feature other artists from and adjacent to the atmospheric drum & bass scene. A result of this pattern, in 2022 Boys Hotel began work with techno artist Tunnel to produce the album, “Once Dead, Now Alive & Moving Forward.”
